US Weather Spotlight: 6-14-19

Another active weather period through the weekend for the Plains, Midwest, northeast, Ohio River Valley, and northern parts of the Mid-Atlantic states. A break in the active pattern was experienced at the beginning of the week but has begun to get active once again yesterday and will continue now through the weekend. Moisture and instability has already begun to build back into the Plains, and will gradually spread eastward through the weekend. As frontal boundaries and upper disturbances track through these regions the next few days scattered storms are expected especially during the late afternoons and evenings with some have the potential to become severe. The greatest chances for severe storm activity will mainly be in the southern Plains with more of an isolated chance elsewhere in the Plains, Midwest, and Ohio River Valley.
