US Weather Spotlight: 11-29-18

Light precipitation is possible today from the Upper Midwest to the Ohio River Valley and the lower Mississippi Valley. Mainly snow is expected in the north for MN, WI, and MI with mainly up to an inch of accumulation possible, though northeastern MN could get as many as two. Light rain showers are possible elsewhere, with some starting as freezing rain potentially in parts of OH, IN, KY, and TN.

More rain and snow for the western third of the country, as well as some high winds in California. The heaviest snow again will be in the Sierra Nevada as well as the Wasatch Range in UT, and heavy rain is possible for the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego in California and Las Vegas in Nevada. Light rain could make it as far east as Phoenix later this evening and overnight.

A major winter storm is expected to develop in the central part of the country on Friday producing a variety of weather. More details to come on this developing system over the next couple days.
