Supermoon Equinox

Who's ready for the first day of SPRING? Don't get me wrong, I love snow, but I'm more than ready for it to be done for a while. This month, we have a couple of different things to look forward to!

The first day of spring, also known as the Vernal Equinox, begins on March 20th, at 4:58 PM CDT, and we also have a supermoon on March 20th at 8:43 CDT.

The super part of the full moon just means that the Moon is a little closer to Earth than usual, so we won't really notice much of a difference with the naked eye. This will be the last super full moon of the year for us. The full moon in March is also known as the Full Worm Moon. The temperatures are usually warm enough that the earthworms begin to return, which, in turn, bring the robins back.

For me, one of the signs spring has returned is seeing the robins. What indicates spring is back for you?  Let us know on our facebook page or tweet at us @weatherology!
